Please join me this Saturday for my Artist Talk at 6pm at The Atlanta School of Photography!
MARCH 18 – MAY 19
Speechless, an exhibition by photographer Ashley Berrie, is inspired by her oldest son, Ethan, who was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Apraxia is a speech disorder in which the brain has difficulty coordinating muscle movements necessary for speech. Berrie had always photographed her children, but upon reflection of the images of Ethan, she realized where Ethan could not speak, the photographs did. Spoken words were not necessary for her son to truly have a voice.
Ashley Berrie Photography is based in Brookhaven, but serves all surrounding areas including Buckhead, Virginia Highlands, Midtown, Sandy Springs, Chastain Park, Dunwoody, Vinings, Marietta, Roswell, Alpharetta and other surrounding Atlanta metro areas.
